Tranisitional Housing

In addition to crisis short-term accommodation, NWS provides transitional medium-term housing for women and children who are escaping family and domestic violence and who would otherwise have difficulty securing safe, affordable housing.

NWS oversees transitional houses which provide women and their children with an opportunity to receive ongoing support in a safe and affordable living environment following their stay at the shelter.

The NWS team offers a range of support services to individuals and families engaged through the transitional housing program, enabling them to build their capacity and circumstances, including strengthened connections, to support independent and secure living within the community.
